The car was fitted with the 3.8 engine which was tuned to deliver 385 bhp. ( The XK150S 3.8 was anyway a very rare car, even in FHC version ). The Shooting Brake was raced as well. Also a towhook was installed to transport other racing cars and even later to pull gliders into the air, hence the nickname 'Tow Car'. By the end of the nineties the car was found as a wreck and purchased by a Dutchman who restored the car in The Netherlands. The car is in Switzerland now.
