On this page you will find global information about the technique behind our models and the completion of them. You will find information as well on projects that we completed for our customers. Through our years of experience we are able to produce models for third party customers, at the same high standard that we use for our own models.
The approach for every model is the same in general. First is decided what model will be made and pictures and drawings are collected. Many collectors worldwide are helpful providing documentation, it is in their interest too that models will be most accurate. The best is to have on disposal technical drawings, but these are not always available. See on the left a perfect technical drawing of an MG ( a car which we are hoping to produce someday). The red line designates the wheelbase. An exact picture of the sideview ( see picture right ) is very helpful.
Next the modelling work starts, we work from blocks of resin from which the master-patterns are made using knives, sanding paper and milling-machines. A new technique which we are currently using is CAD/CAM ( computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing) on the PC , the resulting three-dimensional file can be milled or built-up in layers by a special 3D printer. See on the left an 1:43rd scale Opel wheel, and on the right a cooling engine for a 1:50 truck. Both master-patterns were designed in CAD/CAM, and printed on a 3D printer. Right now we are in the process developing a modelcar body in CAD/CAM.

After some time alle parts for the model are ready and when the master-patterns are approved the casting-moulds are made. First the body is made and with assitance of the first casting the photo-etched parts are produced. When this stage has succeeded the other parts will be produced.

The left picture shows bodies cast in resin and a casting mould for a chassis. The picture on the right shows other parts, like photo-etched parts, rims, tires and a plastic vacuumformed window.
Finally all the parts are united togheter to form a
highgrade collectors model, like on the pictures beneath.
This is a model for one of our customers, we did all the technical work from a master
delivered by the customer. This customer finally built the models.
